LJ Mounteney [https://www.ljmounteney.com] is a Vancouver-based singer-songwriter and performer known for putting soulful twists on inspired classics, intriguing song choices and high-energy shows. Her soulful, bluesy voice has been compared to Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt and Norah Jones. Her recent blues and roots album, 'Mama Danced' has won her legions of new fans and critical acclaim. Tonight’s show will feature LJ with one of Vancouver’s finest, Tim Porter, on guitar and vocals. Together they will perform a variety of retro Blues, Soul, R&B and LJ’s originals.
Far more than vocal powerhouse, Calgary-based Ollee Owen [https://olleeowens.com]’s live performances are unforgettable, moving both body and soul. With the warmth of Mavis Staples, vocal intensity of Etta James, Ollee draws on a wealth of experience, acknowledging the struggles of life while never losing sight of what truly matters. Recently awarded the Emerging Blues Artist of the Year at the Canadian Blues Music Awards, she will be joined by fellow Albertan Linden Conroy on guitar, combining her original work with unique interpretations of well-known and long-lost songs for a dynamic and engaging set, taking you on a journey of blues infused and soul-filled tunes.
