Born from the depths of heartbreak, self-doubt, and the scars of growing up, this 5-piece creates a sound that's both cathartic and confrontational. Their music blends intensity of post-hardcore with the vulnerability of emo, creating stories that speak to the struggles of letting go and finding strength in the aftermath. Formed in mid-2024, Black Ivar has been carving their name into the heavy music scene with a sound that fuses crushing low-tune guitars, deathcore aggression, nu metal grit, and anthemic, sing-along choruses. Fronted by a powerful female vocalist and backed by relentless riffs and breakdowns, Black Ivar delivers intensity and emotion in equal measure.
When Julia, Jake and Phillip first got together they had one goal in mind: create meaningful connections through music.
