Join us at St Matthew-in-the-City for our annual Blessing of the Animals service, a joyful celebration of the creatures who share our lives and our world.
Bring along your beloved pet (or a photo of an animal who can't make it!) for a special blessing as we give thanks for the companionship, joy, comfort and chaos that animals bring to our lives.
This year, we are fundraising for Mobility Dogs and supporting the incredible work they do.🦮
Mobility Dogs train highly skilled assistance dogs to help people living with physical disabilities. These remarkable dogs can assist with everyday tasks such as retrieving dropped items, opening and closing doors and drawers, and providing practical support that helps people live with greater independence and freedom at home and in the community.
Mobility Dogs also train dogs to provide support in workplaces and community settings, including schools, courts and therapeutic environments. Their work is made possible through the generosity of donors, as they receive no government funding for the training of their dogs.
Whether they bark, meow, hop, slither, chirp, or simply have a special place in your heart, all creatures are welcome. 🐾
Please ensure dogs and larger animals are on a lead; smaller animals protected in a cage.
