This is an introductory ride hosted by Blaydon Cycling Club.
Absolutely anybody is welcome to join us regardless of whether you are a club member or not and there is no obligation to join the club. All we want is to introduce you to club road riding on quiet rural lanes in stunning Northumberland.
This is a strictly no-drop social ride aimed at attracting new, less experienced riders to the club. Basically, we will be going as fast as the slowest rider.
There will be two loops both of which return to Merton Car Park in Ponteland hence allowing riders to do 23 miles and/or an additional 28 miles.
The average speed will most likely be between 11mph and 14mph but, we will ride at the pace of the slowest rider. Riders are welcome to ride any of the very few hills at their own pace but we will always regroup at the top.
