Blacksmithing - One Day - Level 1

This one day workshop focuses on three of the major forging processes: forging, forming and cutting. Participants will learn how to light and manage a fire, heat steel , hammer, bend, twist and cut it with a chisel. Everyone will design and complete a toasting fork that can be used to cook food over an open wood fire.
No previous metalworking or drawing experience is necessary. All that’s required is a sense of curiosity and a willingness to learn!

Class runs from 9am-5pm with a 1h lunch. All materials, safety equipment, coffee and tea will be provided. Lunch is available in town / an indoor lunch area with a microwave and fridge is provided on site if you bring your own food. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
