This beginner's workshop will include safety, forge fire starting, overview of tools and equipment, use of propane and coal burning forges, heat, shape, cut, twist, and drift metal to make j and s hooks. We will forge a tomahawk head from an old claw hammer. We will learn to temper the blade tool we make. We will make and fit a wooden handle for the tomahawk you make using a traditional draw knife and shaving horse. You need to bring/wear non-synthetic clothing, footwear, gloves. Safety glasses with side shields, ear plugs, a 2.5 lb. Pein type or metal working hammer. A bag lunch each day. Cost: $195 Call 2072054849 to register.
