🪩FREE COMMUNITY EVENT - BALLOT NOW OPEN🪩2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the Blackpool Dance Festival, the most prestigious and renowned ballroom dance festival in the world.
For this special centenary year, the doors of the iconic Empress Ballroom will be opened to the local community for a unique celebratory free event, giving Fylde Coast residents the opportunity to experience this world-class festival on their doorstep.
As part of this free event, you can experience:
✅ A special showcase from Strictly Come Dancing stars Amy Dowden MBE and Carlos Gu
✅ A programme featuring youth, amateur and professional dancers demonstrating the skill, dedication and spectacle of Ballroom and Latin dance.
✅ Opportunity to take part in a Cha Cha Cha masterclass.
Entries to the event are by ballot:
Individuals, couples and groups from across the Fylde Coast are invited to apply for tickets via a ballot (link below) which is open until midnight on Sunday 3 May.
