Black Women & Fibroids: What We Need to Know
About this Event
Did you know: Black women are affected by fibroids at much higher rates than any other group of women, and they often experience symptoms more severely. Yet many Black women spend years managing heavy bleeding, pain, and other symptoms without clear information on what’s causing them or what treatment options are available. (Newsflash: a hysterectomy isn’t the only option)
The Remembering Cherubs team is rolling up our sleeves to shed some light and share resources. Join us on Friday, August 28th at Sip N Read Book Bar for “Black Women & Fibroids: What We Need to Know.”
We’ll have a relaxed and informative conversation with leading experts to unpack the impact of fibroids on our community and what we can do to feel more empowered.
The Sip N Read team will have mocktails, non-alcoholic and traditional wine on deck for purchase, and we’ll be providing a tasty charcuterie spread while supplies last. Bring your girls and make it a night.
