About this Event
The Equality and Diversity Unit and BME Staff Network invite staff and students to a special bus tour of Oxford, commemorating Black History Month.
We will explore Black Oxford: Untold Stories, a unique historical city sightseeing tour featuring award-winning creative, producer, and historian Pamela Roberts.
Please join us as we reflect on this year’s theme of reclaiming narratives in our unique local context.
Tickets are limited to current staff and students of the University of Oxford.
Timings:
Meeting Point: Broad Street, near Blackwell’s at 12pm
Guided Tour: 12pm-1:15pm
Please note that the bus will leave promptly, however the return time could be impacted by traffic.
Lunch:
Hot food is not permitted on the bus for safety reasons. A light sandwich / wrap lunch will be available for participants. Please feel free to bring your filled water bottle.
Weather:
Please bring umbrellas and/or waterproofs in the event of light rain. We will reschedule in the event of heavy rain. Please check the email account you used to register for an update in the morning of October 23.
