Charlotte Post Hosts “Legends & Legacy Conversations” for Black History Month
The Charlotte Post will present a three-week Black History Month series titled Legends & Legacy Conversations, featuring prominent leaders who have shaped the Charlotte community.
The free events will be held at Sugar Creek Library from 6–7:30 p.m. and will also be available via Zoom livestream.
Featured speakers include:
- Feb. 10: Rodney Monroe, first Black chief of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police
- Feb. 17: Dr. Yele Aluko, physician executive and healthcare strategist
- Feb. 24: Bonita Buford, president and CEO of the Harvey B. Gantt Center
The series is designed to highlight leadership, community impact, and the ongoing legacy of Black excellence in Charlotte.
