Free Enderly Park Neighborhood Photography 101 Workshop

This workshop is open to residents of West Charlotte, with priority given to those living in the Enderly Park neighborhood.
Join local photographer, Kaley F, for a hands-on Neighborhood Photography 101 Workshop designed to help you learn the basics of photography while contributing your artistic voice to a community art exhibition at the Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center in August 2026.

This two part one-hour workshop will take place immediately following the February Greater Enderly Park Neighborhood Association Meeting. The workshop experience is divided into two sessions:

• Part 1 — February 2026
  An introductory photography lesson focused on essential concepts, with a special emphasis on film photography. Participants will then have time between sessions to take their own photos inspired by what they’ve learned.
• Part 2 — April 2026
  A collaborative review and photo-selection session, where attendees choose images to be included in the August 2026 community art show.

Participants are welcome to bring their own cameras. If needed, fully automatic film cameras will be provided at no cost, and the workshop leader will handle all film development and printing costs.

Whether you’re brand-new to photography or simply excited to share your neighborhood pride through your lens, this workshop offers a creative way to learn, explore, and celebrate community together. We hope you’ll join us!

About the Instructor
Kaley is a Charlotte-based software engineer, photographer, and community organizer whose work centers on cultural and community connection. Originally from Lima, Peru and raised in Charlottte, North Carolina, Kaley has been building community through organizing and creative expression since 2009.
