Join us for a refreshing riverside and woodland walk from Conham River towards Hanham, taking in peaceful trails, scenic river views and tranquil woodland paths. This relaxing countryside walk is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy nature, stretch their legs, and spend time outdoors in good company.

We’ll follow gentle riverside paths before heading into beautiful woodland, offering a mix of open views, shaded trails, and plenty of opportunities to pause, chat, and take photos. Expect a friendly pace with stops along the way to enjoy the surroundings.

Terrain: Mostly flat, but some inclines, muddy and rocky in places in the woodland.

What to bring: Snacks/Lunch, water, weather appropriate clothing, and sturdy footwear with a good tread.

Lunch stop: We will break for lunch approximately halfway through. Please bring a packed lunch. There's a coffee truck at the start of the walk with lovely cakes and treats.

Facilities: Toilets available at start and halfway point at a pub.

Transport: If you’re coming by train, get off at Lawrence Hill Station, then you can catch the 44 or 45 bus from just outside the station to reach the meeting point.

Parking: Free on street parking can be found on residential roads near troopers hill.

This event will be led by a BGH trained walk leader. Please note that the leader does not hold a Mountain Leader qualification, and participation is therefore at your own discretion and risk.
