Black British Book Festival 19th October 2025

The City of Leicester NEU is inviting its members to attend the Black British Book Festival, which is taking place at the Barbican in London on Sunday 19th October 2025.

Step into the heart of Black British storytelling. A space where culture, creativity and community collide. Come be moved. Come be inspired. Come be part of something bigger.

A minibus will be departing from our offices in Town Hall Square (7-9 Every Street, Leicester LE1 6AG) at 09:00. With the programme of events at the festival starting from 12:00. Departure from the Barbican will be at 18:00, aiming to arrive back in Town Hall Square for 20:00.

Entry to the festival is free, however there is a charge of £15 for a 'Festival Pass' to access workshops and one headliner event. The City of Leicester NEU has agreed to re-imburse any member who wishes to purchase their own Festival Pass.
