All Black Belts are REQUIRED to attend (1 or both) trainings to participate in judging at the tournament. We will cover scoring guidelines, safety rules, general operations, and ring etiquette. Brown Belts are also required to attend this training to participate as runners. Runners will assist Black Belt Judges by relaying information, replenishing supplies, and timekeeping. Brown Belts will also gain a greater understanding of how divisions are run and how matches are judged.
After our lecture/Q&A portion of the Black Belt Judges Training, we will be opening our seminar to All Ages/Ranks (beginning at 2pm) to provide practical training. Our Mock Tournament Practice allowed our Black and Brown Belts to practice running a ring with our Chung Do students in real time. Mock Tournament also offers Color Belts an opportunity to practice sparring and learn tournament rules with ample Black Belt coaching.
