TAKE A WALK ON THE DARK SIDE!
Join dark historian Andrew Johnston of Alternative Ulstours on a devilishly informative and shockingly entertaining walking tour of Belfast's Titanic Quarter.
Dare you uncover the sinister secrets lurking in these olden streets?
• The mummy's curse that 'sank the Titanic'
• Bram Stoker's visit to 'the world's greatest shipbuilding yard'
• The awful death toll before Titanic even set sail
• The darkness behind the Great Light
• 'Sea serpents' in Belfast Lough!
• A cruel drowning at Harland & Wolff
• Horror at the Titanic Exhibition Centre
• The terrible Workman Clark explosion
• When Belfast became Transylvania for Dracula Untold
• Disease and disaster in the Musgrave Channel
• Samson's secret, and an ominous premonition
• Morbid artefacts in Belfast's public records office
• The serial killer who inspired The Fall
Please note:
• The walking tour starts at the 'Titanic Sign' outside Titanic Belfast on Olympic Way in the Titanic Quarter in Belfast city centre, where your guide will be waiting for you
• Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time
• The tour will last three hours and cover around two miles on mainly flat, even ground
• The route is fully accessible, but please inform us in advance of any mobility issues
• The tour ends at the SoundYard sculpture on Queen's Quay in the Titanic Quarter in Belfast city centre
• The tour will go ahead in all weathers, so please dress accordingly and stay hydrated
• There are public toilets near the start and end points, and we can make a toilet stop approximately halfway through the tour if required
• There will also be an optional refreshment stop approximately halfway through the tour (refreshments at own cost)
• Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the tour
• Your guide is a Level 4 'blue badge' tour guide and Visit Belfast industry partner
• The tour is fully insured through Tour Guides NI
Very important:
• The tour is open to all ages, but parental guidance is advised due to the graphic nature of some content. You have been warned!
