Join us for a community conversation and other activities centered on Black Arts and representation in modern media.
This program is organized in partnership with Black Pride Ypsi—a local organization focused on "the mission to improve the lives of Black queer residents in Ypsilanti and beyond"—and in collaboration with Aaron Foley, editor of the Michigan Chronicle and author of Boys Come First.
The main focus will be a panel conversation including Aaron Foley, members of Black Pride Ypsi, and several other local artists. This will include conversation among the panelists as well as open dialogue with anyone attending.
There will also be Black Pride trivia and other art-oriented activities.
Questions or comments? Contact librarian Aaron Smith at [email protected] or call 734-482-4110 x2421.
This event will take place outside in our library plaza. Activities will move to our Program Room if the weather is inclement.
