Den succesfulde konceptmiddag Red Dinner får nu en efterfølger i sort og hvid. Tag plads ved bordet, når kokkene Eva Hurtigkarl, Kala's Kimchi og Kristina Andersen dyrker farvekontraster i mødet mellem koreansk og dansk madkultur – udelukkende med sorte og hvide serveringer på menuen! Torsdag d. 20. februar forvandles Nikolaj Kunsthal til en sanselig totaloplevelse centreret omkring en langbordsmiddag udelukkende med sort og hvid mad på menuen. Kokkene Eva Hurtigkarl, Kala's Kimchi og Kristina Andersen fra Abrikos undersøger nysgerrigt madkombinationer i sort og hvid med en fælles interesse for konceptuelle benspænd og berigelser i mødet mellem koreansk og dansk madkultur. A whisper of Korea, bold and deep,
meets Denmark’s shores, where flavors sleep.
A pearl-white wave, salt on lips,
charcoal whispers, seaweed drips.

kimchi’s fire, sharp and sure.
Roots that burrow, soil-stained hands,
Nordic herbs from misted lands.
A sweet eclipse, bitter and bright,
meets the sky in a cream moon’s light.
Resultatet af den sort/hvide middag udspiller sig midt i det højloftede Nedre Galleri, der i februar danner rammerne om udstillingen Breaking Darkness, der er en stedspecifik hommage til den unikke filmskaber Lars von Trier.

On Thursday, the 20th of February, Nikolaj Kunsthal will be transformed into a sensory experience centred around a communal long-table dinner. The menu consists of black and white cuisine by chefs Eva Hurtigkarl, Kala’s Kimchi and Kristina Andersen from Abrikos. Together, they delve into the intersection of Korean and Danish food traditions, embracing the challenges and delights of working within a conceptual framework. The trio elaborates:

The black and white dinner unfolds at the high-ceilinged Lower Gallery, the February setting for the exhibition Breaking Darkness, a site-specific homage to the iconic filmmaker Lars von Trier.
