About this Event
Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. presents
Candid Conversation: Repairing the Past – A Path to Justice
CANDID. BOLD. NECESSARY.
We are gathering to address one of the most urgent questions of our time about REPARATIONS —"What does repair truly look like for Black Americans?" Through an intimate screening of The Big Payback and a thought-provoking panel discussion, we will connect reparations policy to lived experience and history to action, which is grounding, illuminating, and necessary!
We welcome Actress, Activist, and Director of The Big Payback, Erika Alexander along with other invited special guests including Former Alderwoman Robin Rue Simmons, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke, and Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages.
In the spirit of Juneteenth, let’s stand together in solidarity,
🎟️ Free and open to the community. ALL ARE WELCOME! Bring family, friends, and allies.
RSVP is required! First come, first served! Early arrival is strongly suggested.
✨Calling YOU to the floor for this amazing kickoff to Candid Conversations. Meet us in Brooklyn!✨
