Join us for an afternoon of flavor, creativity, and a little kitchen magic as Chef Jill Marie Denton introduces us to the art of blending herbs and spices. Together, we'll explore how different flavors complement one another, learn what creates balance in a blend, and discover just how much personality a pinch of this or a dash of that can add.
This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly class where curiosity is encouraged. Whether you love to cook, are just getting started, or simply enjoy learning something new, you'll leave with a better understanding of flavor and two custom spice blends that are uniquely your own.
We'll have dozens of herbs, spices, and blending ingredients to explore, including garlic, rosemary, thyme, paprika, cumin, citrus peels, chipotle, garam masala, cinnamon, ginger, specialty herbs, and plenty more. Don't worry if you've never blended spices before. Chef Jill will guide you through the process and help you discover combinations you'll be excited to use again and again.
Your registration includes all herbs and spices, two glass spice jars, labels and fabric circles if you'd like to package your blends as gifts, and expert instruction from Chef Jill.
