Beginner’s Book Binding with Gnome
In this hands-on beginner class, Gnome will show you how to make one of your very own!
Starting with prepared pages, you’ll learn how to thread and sew them together by hand, then bind them into a cover and watch your very own book take shape.
And then? That part is yours. Fill it with sketches. Write stories in it. Turn it into a journal, a scrapbook, a field guide to neighborhood cryptids, a collection of pressed flowers, tiny treasures and ticket stubs, or leave it blank until inspiration comes knocking.
You don’t need any book binding experience. Gnome will guide you every step of the way in this hands on creative journey into book binding basics. You just need a little curiosity and a willingness to make something with your own two hands.
All materials are included, and every artist will leave with their own hand-bound book, ready for whatever comes next.
Your imagination is the limit, and even that tends to take flight at Kestrel.
Sunday, September 27 • 2–5 PM
Ages 10+ • $20 per Artist
Please note that this class is for ages 10+ because artists will be working with needles to sew their pages. Thank you for understanding.
