Paris, France — popout together in collaboration with Little Africa Village is excited to announce its upcoming exhibition, “BIRTHMARK,” that illuminates how color—both as a pigment and a cultural marker—shapes our understanding of identity, history, and community.

"BIRTHMARK" invites visitors to engage deeply with the double entendre of "color," which encompasses not only the rich, diverse shades of Black skin but also the vibrant use of pigment in art.

FEATURED ARTISTS

Featured artists in this compelling collection include: French-Senegalese Painter Ketsia and Photographer Akil Carter, from Springfield, Massachusetts.

The exhibition is curated by popout together, an esteemed art collective whose vision and expertise have shaped many significant projects celebrating cultural intersectionality.
