Birth Stories

Birth stories are as unique as the babies and parents that unite them, and the experience of hearing others and of your story being heard is absolutely incredible. It used to be very common to hear birth stories from family members and their experiences, but these days many people live far away and those stories aren’t as easily shared.
We live in a time where “woman” health topics have been made to be taboo and discouraged from being talked about, but we need these stories. These stories are vital to the human experience and people need space to share with others and feel validated in their hard and/or beautiful experiences.
These gatherings aim to create a safe and respectful space to share birth stories and to allow participants to experience being truly heard. Attendees are also welcome to be a listener and choose not to share, but to reflect on the power and transformative realities of birth. This will be an opportunity to connect with others and showcase the specialness, subtlety, and emotional elements that come with birth experiences.

Each gathering will have a theme as to prepare people for the type of stories they will be hearing.

Our focus for this event with be on home births and birthing center experiences.
