About this Event

We'll search for shorebirds in the shade of the fragrant eucalyptus groves that line the shores of Point Pinole Regional Park. Shorebird migration is getting underway at this time of year, with peeps, plovers, and more starting to trickle in from the north. We'll scan the beach as the tide rises for shorebirds and marine ducks. Point Pinole can also yield surprises, like the Bobolink that lingered there in 2024.

The trail is narrow, dusty, and rocky at points. There are not many places to sit and rest along the way. There is a bathroom and water fountain at the trailhead. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

Beginning birders and non-MDBA members are welcome, with prior registration.

Trail Rating: 2 - Generally flat but over a mile walking.
