Coastal Cleanup Day at Wildcat Creek
About this Event
Join The Watershed Project and Urban Tilth for Coastal Cleanup Day at Wildcat Creek on September 19, 2026 at 9:00 AM to cleanup our creek and make space for all creatures!
This year's Coastal Cleanup Day theme, Making Space for All Creatures, highlights how every piece of litter removed helps create cleaner, healthier habitats for the birds, fish, mammals, and other wildlife that call the Bay home. By caring for our creek, we're protecting the places where people and wildlife can thrive together, and preventing trash from flowing into the Bay.
A huge part of Coastal Cleanup Day is collecting data that helps scientists, communities, and policymakers better understand and prevent marine debris. Along with removing trash, volunteers will participate in interactive educational activities to learn how their efforts contribute to healthier ecosystems and cleaner waterways.
Please wear layers, a hat and/or sunscreen, and closed-toe shoes. Cleanup supplies will be provided, but if you have them, please bring a bucket, reusable gloves, and a reusable water bottle to help us reduce waste.
Don't miss this opportunity to connect with nature, meet new friends, and make space for all creatures! See you there!
