About this Event

Join TRCA for a springtime bike ride through Tommy Thompson Park (TTP) and explore one of Toronto's best locations for birding. Educators will share the history of the park and lead a guided bike tour through the park's wetland ecosystems to observe some of the 334 species of birds that call TTP home.

Program participants will receive a copy of the updated Tommy Thompson Park Bird Checklist (5th edition).

Binoculars and bird identification guides will be available for participants to use during the program.

This walk is part of TRCA's Spring Bird Festival at Tommy Thompson Park program series.

This event is intended for Ages 12+:

  • Beginner level information
  • Introductory concepts
  • Intended audience includes youth and adults

Capacity: 15 participants.

Location: Tommy Thompson Park at the Main Entrance located here.

Ticket Price: Tickets for this event are $17.00 + HST (plus Eventbrite fees).

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests received by TRCA more than 14 days before the start of the program will receive a 75% refund of the relevant program fees paid. Cancellation requests received by TRCA less than 14 days before the start of the program do not qualify for a refund. Minimum registration numbers are required for the program to operate. In the event TRCA must cancel the program due to low registration, a refund of the ticket price less Eventbrite fees will be issued. Be Prepared

Distance: 8-10km

Difficulty: Easy - the Multi-Use Trail is a flat, paved surface. Note that there are speed bumps along the path.

Good to Know: Participants must bring their own bike and helmet, in good working condition. It is strongly recommended to dress for the weather. Please bring a filled water bottle, as there is no running water in the interior of the park. Flush toilets are located at the Main Entrance only; there are portable toilets in the park. This program may not be suitable for children under the age of 12 or beginner cyclists. Please consider the distance and pace before registering.
