About this Event
The aim of this session is to explore the creative process and industry practices behind music for advertising, with a particular focus on bespoke composition and writing to brief. We’ll look at how composers interpret creative briefs, collaborate with agencies and brands, and deliver music that enhances storytelling and identity. We’ll also touch on licensing and the business side of the industry to give a complete picture of how music functions within the commercial landscape. By the end of the session, students should have a broad understanding of how the advertising music industry operates and, for those interested, a clear sense of how to develop the skills and professional approach needed to pursue composing for media in the future.
