About Billy No Mates:
Billy No Mates is a collective of freelancers and remote workers that gather at local independent venues across the North. Set up in 2023 by designer Sarah from KINSHIP, after craving company as a home worker.

The Auxiliary project space consists of a gallery, artist studios, social space and a fully licensed bar. Starting in 2016 as a self-funded, sound-art residency in Stockton, it has grown into one of the leading artist-led organisations in the North East, backed by an unstoppable creative community.

Middlesbrough Billy No Mates sessions are kindly supported by Middlesbrough Council. Together we aim to create two threads of positive impact:
- reduced loneliness and isolation amongst freelancers and remote workers
- increased footfall and exposure to local independent businesses
