The Big River Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse will be having our annual soup cook off and silent auction on Sat, March 7th at All Star Lanes. Local businesses and individuals will be creating soup or chili for attendees to enjoy. All funds raised go to support the Big River Chapter's mission of empowering abused children and stay local to help those in need in our community. Requested $10 donation to judge entries, $5 for 12 and under
BIKERS AGAINST CHILD ABUSE® exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children. We stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse.
As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations to help meet the financial needs of our chapter and all donations received are tax deductible. All funds raised go to support the Big River Chapter’s mission of empowering abused children and stay local to help those in need in our community. As an all-volunteer organization, no funds donated to B.A.C.A. are used for salaries for administrative personnel.
Anyone interested in participating, please bring a minimum of 16 qt. of your warm/hot homemade soup in a Nesco Roaster and a serving ladle by 11:30 a.m. Doors open at noon and you want to have consideration of all voters. We will provide sample cups, tasting spoons, and napkins. All you need to bring is yourself and prize-winning soup. All contestants are expected to serve their soups.
