Our March movie is about paying attention, being astonished and telling the tale. My Octopus Teacher (2020) demonstrates that deep consistent attention to nature fosters profound empathy, emotional healing and a shift from viewing oneself as a detached observer to an integral part of the ecosystem. Filmmaker Craig Foster, visits a kelp forest daily for a year, learning from an octopus about curiosity, resilience, and the interconnectedness of life.
