'Big Night' Dinner & Film Screening

Rounding out our special Louis Prima programming for Summer 2026, the Italian Educational & Cultural Center (IECC) at Casa Colombo is excited to announce our 'Big Night' Dinner & Film Screening!

Inspired by starring Stanley Tucci, Minnie Driver, Tony Shalhoub, Ian Holm and Isabella Rossellini, our own dinner & film date follows the theme of the movie closely. 'Big Night' tells the tale of two Italian immigrant brothers, Chefs Primo and Secondo, who open their dream restaurant in New Jersey.

However, the brothers' authentic food is too unfamiliar for local tastes, and the restaurant is struggling. But when famous Italian American bandleader Louis Prima is scheduled to appear at their restaurant, the two brothers put all of their efforts into the meal of a lifetime... one which will likely decide the fate of their restaurant.

So come join us on Sunday, July 26th from 3:00PM - 6:00PM as we honor the end of our current exhibition 'Louis Prima: Rediscovering A Musical Icon' - with a screening of 'Big Night' and a relaxed Italian-style Sunday dinner surrounded by Prima's personal effects and artifacts!

Tickets are LIMITED and NOW ON SALE for $85, inclusive of a delicious five-course meal and wine. After all, to quote Chef Primo... "To eat good food is to be close to God." And of course, we know you'll all agree.

PARKING: As the Jersey City Village is a residential area, there is very limited on street parking. Please prepare accordingly, taxi or carpool when possible, or plan to walk from public transport. We are a 15-minute walk from the Grove Street PATH station, and a 20-minute walk from Journal Square bus and train terminal.

ACCESSIBILITY: IECC does not have an elevator. In lieu, there is a chair lift that takes you from the ground floor to the first floor only. This event will take place on the second floor.

FINALLY... Persons under 21 will also not be permitted entry without a parent or legal guardian.
