We’re thrilled to be involved with Wild Roots Nature Fest with the return of the Gregson’s Big Green Day.
Join local organisation in our Hall at our Big Green Fair as we shine a spotlight on the incredible work taking place in our city to tackle the nature and climate crises. This is your chance to find our more about what’s happening on your doorstep and how you can get stuck in and make a difference. This will include your chance to make a #NaturePledge as part of this year’s festival legacy.
Last year, we had such a blast – “It was well attended and the atmosphere in the hall was buzzing” (2025 Big Green Day stallholder)
Plus, there’s loads of great stuff happening all over the building as part of the day:
10am-4pm – BIG GREEN FAIR
With Lancaster Makerspace, Green Spaces, Greenpeace, Green Rose CIC, Summer House Farm, Share the Harvest, More Music, RSPB, FoodFutures and more tba. The Hall
10am-4pm – PLANT SWAP
Head into our sunny Yarden, bring a plant and take a plant. Spruce up your own garden whilst promoting a circular economy in our community! Yarden
Times TBC – VEGAN MENU
Cooked up by our neighbours at Toast. Fully plant-based and served all day. Cafe Bar
1.30-3.30pm – URBAN NATURE: CREATIVE WRITING
A writing workshop on the thriving mesh of nature. Meeting Room
4.30-6pm – NATURE FILM SCREENING
Nature film screening and Wild Roots festival close. Secret Cinema
