Big Cook #2 is Sunday, October 11 at 9:00 AM! Would anyone like to come help cook? WE NEED KITCHEN VOLUNTEERS!! We would love to have your hands!
We’ve received a wonderful amount of food already, and our list is getting smaller! Below is everything we still need to complete 14 family dinners for a local family of five.
Please feel free to choose one single item, one seasoning, one package, or as much as your heart desires. Every donation matters.
MEAT
☐ Boneless, skinless chicken breast — 9.5 lb
☐ Lean ground beef — 4.5 lb
BREAD & DRY GOODS
☐ Large flour tortillas — 24–30
☐ Fresh hoagie rolls — 12
☐ Frozen ready-to-bake large biscuits — 16–20
☐ Breadcrumbs — 15 oz
PRODUCE & FROZEN VEGETABLES
☐ Broccoli florets — 10 lb
Pre-cut bagged florets preferred; Costco-size bags are ideal
☐ Large bell peppers — 6
☐ White/russet potatoes — 6–7 lb
☐ Celery — 1 large bunch
☐ Medium onions — 6
☐ Frozen corn kernels — 2 lb
CHEESE
☐ Shredded mozzarella — 3 lb / 48 oz
☐ Shredded cheddar or cheddar blend — 3 lb / 48 oz
☐ Grated Parmesan — 8 oz
SAUCES
☐ BBQ sauce — 14 oz
☐ Worcestershire sauce — 1 bottle
SEASONINGS & COOKING BASICS
☐ Dried thyme — 1 small jar
☐ Poultry seasoning — 1 small jar
☐ Cooking oil (olive, canola or vegetable) — 32 oz
PACKAGING
☐ 64-oz freezer-safe plastic containers with secure lids — 8
☐ 32-oz freezer-safe plastic containers with secure lids — 12
☐ Heavy-duty aluminum foil — 1 large roll
