Union Pacific Big Boy #4014 is coming to town, and we are keeping the railroad excitement moving trackside to the layout!
While you are celebrating the world's largest steam locomotive visiting the area, stop by the Altoona Association of Model Railroaders for our special Model Train Open Houses! Whether you are a lifelong railfan or looking for a fun family activity, come check out our extensive HO-scale and N-scale model train displays with trains running live all three nights.
Beyond the layouts, you can explore our historic artifact collection featuring unique pieces of Pennsylvania Railroad history and more.

⏰ Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM each night

Admission is free, donations are greatly appreciated, and all ages are welcome. We will also have complimentary light refreshments available, including lemonade, iced tea, and cookies to enjoy. Come see the displays, talk trains with our members, and celebrate an incredible week of railroading history in Altoona!
