INVITATION TO PARTICIPATEOn behalf of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA), it is our pleasure to invite you to participate
in the Inaugural Big Blue BBQ, to be held at the prestigious Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, over two very
special days – Thursday the 7th and Friday the 8th of November 2024.
We do not know what causes Prostate Cancer, nor have we found a way of preventing it. Prostate Cancer is
the most diagnosed form of cancer – 240,000 Australian men currently live with the disease and 10 men die
of Prostate Cancer across Australia every day.
The Big Blue BBQ will raise awareness for Prostate Cancer and much needed funds for Prostate Cancer
Research, to highlight the new directions in treatment, sharply focused upon diet, lifestyle, and prevention.

The Theme of the Big Blue BBQ in its inaugural year is New Directions. Prostate Cancer is not generally
diagnosed until it is too late, principally due to masculine stereotypes around treatment and rectoral
examination. We’ve come a long way however awareness of current practices is not keeping up. Men simply
put it off.
