BHM - Black History Walking Tour of Edinburgh

Explore the city's statues and buildings through a new lens as we delve into Edinburgh's role in the Transatlantic Slave System. The tour will link in with the research specialisms of PPLS and cover topics such as the arguments between scholars such as Hume and Beattie, slavery arguments in the lessons of Adam Smith at Glasgow University, John Locke's Second Treatise of Government and Ghanaian Enlightenment scholar Anton Wilhelm Amo.
