About this Event
We are delighted to invite you to join us at the City Art Centre for a presentation with the Tape Letters Scotland project director Wajid Yaseen & co-ordinator Syma Ahmed.
The event is free to attend. Food and drinks will be provided. We will then travel to the Museum of Edinburgh for a private view of the exhibition before it opens to the public.
Tape Letters Scotland is a social history project that highlights the practice within the Scottish-Pakistani community of recording and sending voice messages on cassette tape between the 1960s-1980s. The exhibition platforms the stories uncovered from cassette tapes and interviews from Edinburgh’s Pakistani community.
For more information about the project, find us on Instagram, Facebook or visit tapeletters.com.
