Program: Salem Witch Trials: Rebecca Nurse
Program Description: Witches have become synonymous with Halloween, and Salem, Massachusetts has become a destination for travelers in October. The events of the Salem Witch Trials were horrific and tragic but still occupy the American consciousness. Come join us for an evening with Rebecca Nurse, one of the people accused of witchcraft in 1692. Molly Cromwell from Women in History portrays Rebecca Nurse and shares the story
of the Salem Witch Trials.
This program is co-sponsored by the Family of Eleanor G. Grant Thompson in honor of their ancestor Mary Towne Esty who was hanged as a witch on September 22, 1692 in Salem, Massachusetts.
Open to the public, so bring a friend!
