Join us for the first-ever Vermilion Lantern Parade on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in historic downtown Vermilion.This free, family-friendly event invites the community to come together for an evening of creativity and connection. Participants are encouraged to bring their own handmade LED lanterns and walk in a glowing parade from Main Street Beach through historic downtown and back to the Vermilion Lighthouse, beginning at 4:30 PM. Music and the soft light of lanterns will guide the way through downtown as we celebrate the season together.
Prefer to watch? Gather along the route at Exchange Park, the Fulper Lot lawn, or Friendship Park to enjoy the experience.
Please note: LED lanterns only. No open flames, lantern releases, or pets within the parade.
Lantern workshops and take-home kits will be announced soon.
Presented in partnership with Public Art Vermilion, Vermilion in Bloom, Arts Guild of Vermilion, and Shores & Islands Ohio.
