For generations, the Orisha and the Santería spiritual tradition have been misunderstood, misrepresented, and surrounded by misinformation. These misconceptions have often created fear, stigma, and confusion about a rich spiritual framework rooted in ancestral wisdom, community, healing, and right relationship.
This interactive workshop offers an opportunity to move beyond myths and explore the foundations of the Orisha tradition in a welcoming and respectful space.
Together, we will discuss common misconceptions, learn about the Orisha and their roles within the spiritual framework, and explore the cultural and historical roots of the tradition.
Participants are invited to bring their curiosity and questions. Whether you are completely new to the tradition, seeking a deeper understanding, or looking to unlearn harmful stereotypes, this workshop is designed to support open dialogue, learning, and reflection.
Topics may include:
* Who are the Orisha?
* The history and cultural roots of Santería/Lukumí.
* Common myths and misconceptions.
* Ancestor veneration and spiritual practice.
* The role of ceremony, community, and healing.
* Respectful engagement and cultural understanding.
* Open Q&A and discussion.
