Beyond the Bell, Together We Rise
About this Event
Beyond the Bell, Together We Rise
Join the King's College London Race Equality Network (REN) for an inspiring evening exploring the power of storytelling, boxing and community to drive positive change.
The event opens with an interactive boxing experience led by Simon Olaifa, giving participants the opportunity to experience how boxing can build confidence, resilience and meaningful connections beyond the ring.
The evening then features screenings of Ambition to Live, written, produced and starring Jordan Pitt, and Spar, written and directed by Anthony Vander. Both films explore themes of resilience, identity and overcoming adversity through powerful storytelling.
Following the screenings, join Jordan Pitt, Anthony Vander, Simon Olaifa and Dr Oliver Runswick for a thought-provoking panel discussion exploring resilience, identity, mental wellbeing, representation and the role of community in creating positive change. Panellists will share their personal and professional experiences, followed by an audience Q&A.
The evening will be hosted by Victor Sosanya, with opportunities throughout to network, make new connections and continue the conversation with fellow attendees.
