Beyond Masculinity Trans-Masculine Non- Binary Retreat

The group is hosting a Trans-Masc Non-Binary Retreat to discuss self-love. Alternative healing, health, and movement practices. All food and snacks will be provided. There will be a robust intergenerational dialogue about masculinity and what it means to us. Activities throughout the weekend will ground us in our purpose and strengthen our collective.

James Baldwin once said, "Love takes off the masks we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within.”

It's essential to recognize that Masculinity has been created and used to divide us from our true selves, others, and relationships. It's time to break free from these limiting beliefs and start honoring our authentic selves. It's a shame that our society still operates in binaries, such as good and evil, girl and boy, and masculinity and femininity, without realizing that these identities are simply pieces of the puzzle of our existence, not a war of power, position, and privilege. This program is designed to explore the history, personal narratives, and shared experiences of diverse perspectives and individuals who have found ways to reclaim themselves by removing the mask of "patriarchal masculinity." Let's take charge of our lives and embrace our true selves!

What to bring to the retreat:

We will be creating a community Altar for those who would like to participate. Please bring an item that is special to you to add to our altar. If you have any questions about what to bring, please feel free to contact Justice Roe at [email protected].

We are asking folks to bring games for game night. Let me know if you need me to bring a TV monitor for gaming systems.

Please bring insect spray and be well-dressed if you plan on being out in the woods.

Kayaking will be available to us along with freedom of trails and use of grounds.

What we need to know:

Rolling Ridge will provide food. Please let us know if you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements. Rolling Ridge will do its best to accommodate your needs.
