The statistically most successful way to raise money is to ask those who care about us to support us. That's what you will learn how to do and practice in this professional hands-on workshop.
Beth Raps founder of RAISING CLARITY is a professional fundraiser of four decades’ experience with a solution to the problem of grants getting harder to come by for all nonprofits nationally and nonprofits in Boone and Watauga County having been hit very hard by the storm. The solution is the sustainable strategy of learning to ask wisely and well for donor gifts.
Using this strategy directly and respectfully--the way it is mean to be used--helps nonprofits reduce grant dependency and build their funding base reliably and loyally.
Grants are not sustainable but the connection we have with the people who love us--allies and stakeholders—is!
This strategy is also the statistically most successful way to raise money. We need however to learn to ask those who care about us to support us as personally and appropriately as possible. That's what participants will learn and get ample opportunity to practice in this hands-on workshop. In a fun and engaging way, Beth will teach best practices, guide participants in roleplaying how to ask for gifts using natural wording that doesn’t sound salesy or feel “icky,” and then help them unpack their learning and bring it home through active discussion.
This workshop is hosted by the Hunger and Health Coalition. A $30 suggested donation (not required) will help cover food costs. Lunch is provided. Please email Kayla Lasure to sign up: [email protected].
