About this Event

Join us for , an immersive learning experience developed by UFV’s Peace and Reconciliation Centre.

Through interactive participation, storytelling, and guided facilitation, participants journey through key moments in Stó:lō history—from life before contact to the impacts of colonialism and ongoing resilience.

Using blankets to represent the land, this hands-on exercise illustrates the effects of displacement, loss, and change over time while deepening understanding of reconciliation.

Rooted in the knowledge of Stó:lō Elders and Knowledge Keepers, this experience fosters cultural awareness, empathy, and reflection, encouraging meaningful steps toward reconciliation.

Some content may be emotionally challenging.

Note: Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for check-in and informal networking.
