In an upcoming exhibition, the Chilliwack Museum is chronicling the vibrant history of live theatre and cinema in our community, opening June 2026. Visitors will be invited to engage with meaningful stories, shared knowledge, activities, and preserved artifacts. Through this memorable experience, you’ll gain, or reaffirm, an appreciation for the longstanding value of live theatre and cinema, as mediums for storytelling and places for community gathering.
*This event will show the first film screened at the Paramount when it opened its doors to the public. It will be shown on the actual Paramount Silver Screen which was brought to The Chilliwack Cultural Centre when the Paramount closed its doors to the public.
*This event is being held in collaboration with the Chilliwack Museum and is part of their exhibit featuring film and the performing arts in Chilliwack! 🎭
