We are reaching out about our dear friend Matt Canamore. At just 46 years old, Matt is facing an incredibly difficult battle with Stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to his liver and lung. He is a devoted husband to Maria, a loving father of three, and the kind of person who would literally give you the shirt off his back if someone needed help.
Matt is also a proud and active member of IBEW Local 948 and a dedicated Electrician currently employed by Roth Electrical (Johnson & Wood). Throughout his career, Matt has built a reputation for hard work, integrity, and always being willing to lend a hand to others. Whether on the job site, in his union brotherhood, or within the community, Matt has always been someone people can count on.
His strength throughout this journey has been nothing short of inspiring, but the reality of this battle has placed an enormous strain on Matt and his family. His income has been drastically reduced, and the frequent trips to the Cleveland Clinic for 48-hour chemotherapy treatments come with significant additional expenses. Travel costs, fuel, medical bills, meals, and hotel stays near the hospital quickly add up.
With their son serving in the Marines and the family already facing so many challenges, the financial burden continues to grow. Although Matt is unable to work right now, he remains the heart of his family and friend group, facing each day with courage, determination, and the same sense of humor that has always defined him.
The love and support surrounding Matt and his family are overwhelming, but they could truly use help easing the financial stress during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping the Canamore family focus on what matters most—Matt’s fight and precious time together.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and generosity.
