Beltane Gathering. **Note different location!**

Join us for a Beltane gathering - an invitation to honor the dance of life and celebrate a sacred time of fertility, love and sensuality. The sun's power continues to grow, and the newness of spring begins to give way to the fullness of summer.

We meet outside, in a circle, and open ourselves to learn from the earth and trees, the waters and sky, and all living beings, human and more than human. This gathering will include contemplative practices, silent wandering, and fellowship. All are welcome and respected at Roanoke Church of the Wild. We are a diverse, LGBTQ+ affirming community and welcome all faiths and beliefs. Please join us!

To Bring:

• A camp chair or blanket to sit on. There is no seating available at the site.
• What you need to be comfortable. Please wear the clothing necessary to be comfortable outside, and wear sturdy shoes. Consider bringing water to drink and tick repellent.
• Food to share (optional). Our food theme for this gathering is Emerging! What is emerging this season, or in your life? If nothing comes to mind, bring whatever appeals to you! Locally produced items or something you made are ideal.

Note: We meet at Fishburn Park for Beltane! This site is more accessible than Happy Hollow, and we hope our Wild Gathering will attact those who can't make it to our usual spot. People will be able to drive down to the lower area of the park were we are meeting, to be dropped off. Please arrive 15 minutes early so that we can get you settled before the gathering starts. Note that the restrooms are at the top of the hill next to the parking lot. Please email us with any questions!

Carpool to reduce our impact on the earth. Arrive 10 minutes early to allow time to walk down the hill and get settled.

The gathering will occur regardless of weather. We have reserved a pavilion in case it is needed during our event. Please dress appropriately and bring something to sit on to increase your comfort.
