**Tunisian Twist: A Journey into Traditional Tunisian Dance**
Get ready to explore the vibrant rhythms of Tunisia! In this workshop, we’ll focus on the signature horizontal hip twists that are a hallmark of traditional Tunisian folkloric dance. Learn five exciting and dynamic combos that not only add flair to your dancing but also give your waistline a workout! Hip twists engage your entire abdomen, making this workshop both fun and effective for toning your core.
Workshop #2
**Impeccable Connectedness in Group Movement: Mastering the Sixth Sense of Flocking**
Achieve the "nirvana layer" of performance—where you're fully connected not only to yourself, the music, and the audience but also completely aware of your place within the group dynamic. True connection in every direction leads to a state of flow. How often do we witness ensemble performances where each dancer seems isolated, disconnected from the others? In this workshop, you'll explore techniques to cultivate the awareness needed to feel deeply connected to your fellow dancers, enhancing the synchronicity of the group. Learn four dance combinations that can be seamlessly integrated into Cued Improv or used as choreographic elements to bring your group performance to new heights.
Short Bio
Elsanne Barrows is based in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, where she owns and operates her dance studio, Libelula. She has trained over 183 teachers across Mexico and beyond through her certification program, "Maestras del Tribal." Known as "the mother of tribal style bellydance in Mexico," Elsanne introduced Tribal Style to the country in 2001. With a Master’s in Education and a deep passion for fostering community and personal growth through dance, her workshops are designed to maximize learning while ensuring a fun, engaging experience.
