An evening of music for the head. A triple bill featuring:
AMON RA COLLECTIVE. 8-piece cosmic jazz ensemble from Leeds mixing grooves with free jazz, afrobeat, transcendental solos and an anything-goes attitude creating a mind-expanding stir wherever they go.
THE HOPELESS CAUSES PLAY NICK DRAKE. Guitar-bass-drums trio born in Scarborough's music scene play a full set of improvisations on the songs of cult 60s singer-songwriter Nick Drake. Expect trippy melodic journeys into some much-loved music. Dylan Riley (guitar), Moses Carpenter (drums), Elijah Welsh (bass).
THEO KENDALL. Former BBC Young Composer of the Year brings a guitar, some pedals and a creative approach to composition and improvisation on the fly.
Doors 7:30pm. Music from 8-11pm. £5 in (half price if in full time education) on the door.
