This Behavioural Research Lab seminar will be hosted by Rebecca McAninly, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Strategy, Enterprise and Sustainability at Manchester Metropolitan University, presenting "A critical exploration of the experiences of introverted teachers in higher education". This study explored the experiences of introverted teachers in Higher Education, highlighting both challenges and strengths. It found that introverts often mask their identity and so create the perception that there are few introverted role models in academia. Academia may benefit from openly acknowledging and embracing the contributions of introverted individuals to foster a more inclusive and effective teaching environment.
