Ready to learn how to sew from scratch? No experience needed – if you’ve never even touched a sewing machine before, this class is perfect for you!
Join us for a fun, supportive 3-class series where you’ll master the basics step by step and walk away with two handmade projects you’ll love using.
What you’ll learn:
• Class 1: Sewing machine 101 – threading, basic stitches, tension, and getting comfortable with your machine
• Class 2: Make a beautiful pillowcase using professional French seams (clean, strong, and no raw edges!)
• Class 3: Practice your new skills making a second pillowcase. Go home with a matching set!
All materials provided (fabric, thread, etc.), just bring your excitement! Machines and tools supplied. Ages 10 - Adult (children under 14 must have a responsible adult take the class with them).
This is a small-group, hands-on class with plenty of one-on-one help – no rushing, no judgment, just learning and creating. Many people discover a new hobby they’ll enjoy for years!
When: Sundays, August 2nd, 9th and 16th, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM each session
Where: The Artisan Hatchery, 223 N Water Ave Gallatin, TN (615) 675-4221
Cost: $120 for all 3 classes – includes all materials
